When functions have to be retrofitted on a plant, modifications to the hardware configuration and program expansions normally involve considerable costs. The universal modules of Eaton's SmartWire-DT communication system now offer a very simple solution for these requirements.
As one of the leading manufacturers of components and systems for electrical engineering and automation, Eatons Electrical Sector is now offering new input/output modules for SmartWire-DT. New input/output modules can now be connected to the SmartWire-DT connection and communication system. A 4-channel input module with a 3-wire connection and integrated short-circuit proof power supply, as well as an 8-channel output module (8 *24VDC, 0.5A) have been added to the range of digital modules.
As one of the leading manufacturers of components, systems and solutions for electrical engineering and automation, Eaton’s Electrical Sector or is launching new DC-Switch-Disconnectors. The constantly growing requirements placed on the efficiency of PV installations require operating voltages above the previously usual limits of 1000 VDC. Eaton has consequently further developed its proven DC switch-disconnector product series. Switches for up to 1500V DC with rated operational currents up to 1600A are now available. Switches and accessories are now suitable for ambient temperatures up to 65°C. Typical applications for example are switch-disconnectors in generator terminal boxes, as well as isolating main switches that are suitable for use as maintenance and repair switches on the incoming side of the DC/AC inverter.
As one of the leading manufacturers of components and systems for electro- and automation technology, Eaton's Electrical Sector offers high switching powers at 690VAC, with its new NZML2 and NZML3 circuit breakers. With the new NZML2 and NZML3, special highlights are being brought to market at the 2011 Hannover Messe. Both enhance the already-existing, world-renowned NZM family and round off the assortment in the area of systems with high energy density. Not only do industries such as mining, ship applications or the chemical industry require high switching powers of 690VAC, renewable energies such as wind energy systems, for example, are also a target of the new products.
